When washing your clothes, there are several factors to consider if you want to protect both your garments and the environment. By following the care instructions below—or those on your clothing’s care label—you can clean your clothes in an eco-friendly way and potentially reduce your electricity bill as well.


Here are a few tips to help you preserve the environment and extend the life of your clothes:


Protect the Environment

     ·   Reduce the washing temperature. Most detergents clean just as effectively at lower temperatures. Always follow the temperature recommendations on the care label and never ..........exceed them.
     ·   Wash full loads whenever possible, and avoid using the prewash function.
     ·   Air-dry your clothes instead of using a tumble dryer.
     ·   Use eco-friendly detergents free from pigments, bleach, and perfume. Avoid using fabric softeners.
     ·   Choose powder detergent over liquid. Powder detergent generally contains fewer chemicals and is more environmentally friendly.
